*
1. Ensure near-term targets are absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions reduction targets that should be achieved by 2030, from a predefined base year. The near-term option does not require SMEs to set targets for their Scope 3 emissions. However, SMEs must commit to measure and reduce their Scope 3 emissions. 2. Ensure long-term are absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions reduction targets that should be met by 2050 at the latest, from a predefined base year. 5.4 Methodology used to assess these as climate solutions, and third party which has validated the assessment, if any:

*
We work with WRAP (https://www.wrap.ngo/) to establish the Co2 saving that is generated as a result of redistributing and consuming food For the carbon query, We would anticipate most retailers are sending their food waste to AD or EfW at the moment which would mean a 3,611kg CO2eq saving for every tonne of food waste diverted. If diverted from landfill it would be slightly higher at 4,381kg CO2eq/tonne of food. I’d therefore suggest you multiply every tonne of food waste diverted to redistribution by 3.611 to get the approximate carbon saving (perhaps using a caveat that this is based on the assumption that its original destination was AD or EfW. )."
