Adara’s emissions are primarily Scope 3, and our target is to reduce emissions to Net Zero by 2030. Our strategy focuses on reducing supply chain emissions, business travel, and procurement by improving supplier due diligence, promoting sustainable travel, and adopting low-carbon procurement practices.

Adara does not generate Scope 1 or 2 emissions as our operations are solely Scope 3. Our electricity is sourced from 100% renewable energy. Our emissions reduction strategy focuses on our supply chain, business travel, and procurement to achieve our Net Zero by 2030 target.

Last year, we used the Normative Business Carbon Calculator to estimate emissions. This year, we used the SME Climate Hub’s online reporting tool, applying a spend-based approach with emission factors. Energy data was sourced from bills, confirming 100% renewable electricity and zero Scope 2 emissions. As we do not own facilities or vehicles, Scope 1 emissions are also zero. Data accuracy is high, based on financial records.

Adara’s Scope 3 emissions decreased by 55.21% from 90.15 tCO₂e in FY22-23 to 40.38 tCO₂e in FY23-24. The reduction was driven by lower business travel, improved procurement practices, and better emissions tracking. Purchased Goods & Services emissions dropped from 67.90 tCO₂e to 29.65 tCO₂e, and Business Travel emissions fell from 19.49 tCO₂e to 8.15 tCO₂e. Moving forward, Adara will focus on supplier engagement and expanding emissions tracking for greater accuracy.
